Benson's gubernatorial campaign earns progressive endorsements, Republican complaints
Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson received endorsements from a Metro Detroit Democratic Socialist and several progressive state lawmakers Wednesday.

Michigan’s Secretary of State launched her campaign for governor Wednesday in a video and interviews with the Detroit News and Free Press.
In interviews with the newspapers, as well as Lansing reporters during a press scrum Wednesday, Benson said the hallmark of her tenure would be transparency and efficiency across Michigan government, citing improvements to service at Secretary of State branches as evidence she’s done it before.
Detroit one million was first to report the news Tuesday night after a deleted tweet prompted me to check jocelynbenson.com, and noticed her campaign website and donation page already went live. She shrugged off the botched announcement today, saying her team was excited.
